Migros introduces the Subito self-service system to make the shopping experience quicker and easier for customers. This modern way of shopping is available in two formats: self-scanning (for a full shop) and self-checkout (for just a few items) enable every customer to scan products themselves, bag them up straight away and pay at a self-service terminal. The new system is trialled at nine pilot stores from September 2011.
