Payroll communication 2026
The Migros Group and its social partners have agreed on pay rises of 0.3% to 0.4% for 2026 – which is significantly higher than the inflation forecast of 0.2%. All employees will also each receive a Migros gift card worth CHF 300 to mark the company's 100th anniversary. Migros is setting aside an additional CHF 20 million for this purpose.
100 years of Migros
After a successful journey covering 8,500 kilometres throughout Switzerland, Migros' Merci bus tour ends in Bussigny, canton of Vaud, on Saturday, 18 October 2025. Over 45,000 people visited the Merci bus at 100 locations with more than 50,000 products being sold. The mini Migros baskets, croissants and cervelats proved highly popular items.
Partnership
In-air treats now available on the ground: the famous SWISS chocolate bars from Frey are now available for the first time as a 100 g bar in Migros stores throughout Switzerland for a limited period of time. For once, you don't need a boarding pass to enjoy the cult chocolate.
Coffee
illycaffè and Migros are bringing the sustainable CoffeeB system to Italy. The innovative system is now available in the illy online shop and in selected illy stores in Italy.
Elsa Group
Matthew Robin, CEO of the Elsa Group, will leave the company in 2026 to pursue new professional challenges outside of the Migros Group. In the meantime, he will continue to manage business operations and carefully oversee the transition process. The search for his successor is already under way. This step and the handover of the CEO position have been carefully planned and were jointly agreed in spring 2025. This decision was not previously communicated to avoid detracting from the focus on major milestones.
Migros
Migros sent six young talented individuals to take part in the "SwissSkills 2025" professional championships in Bern. Valentina Winkler delivered a particularly impressive performance, securing 1st place in her category. As the largest private training organisation in Switzerland, Migros offers around 1,500 apprenticeships in over 50 professions every year.
Product recall
Migros is recalling the 'M-Classic – Tender meat' and 'M-Classic – Poultry' seasonings as a precautionary measure amid suggestions that they may be contaminated with salmonella. A health risk cannot be ruled out. Migros is calling on its customers not to consume the 'M-Classic – Tender meat' and 'M-Classic – Poultry' seasonings concerned.
Tourism
The Migros Group has finalised the sale of the Hotelplan Group, successfully rounding off the portfolio streamlining it announced in February 2024. It will now focus on its core business. The new owners - the DERTOUR Group and HomeToGo Group - have extensive expertise in the travel industry.
