The Federation of Migros Cooperatives (FMC) wishes to strengthen the position of the Medbase Group as a leading provider of basic medical care services. To simplify the structure, it is acquiring the shares held by the Migros Cooperatives of Eastern Switzerland (MCES), Lucerne (MCLU) and Zurich (MCZ). This means the Medbase Group will be wholly owned by the FMC on 1 April 2026.

The Migros Group is realigning its import logistics for fruit and vegetables: from 2028, Buonvicini AG will handle these operations on behalf of Migros. Optimised processes and solutions for implementation are currently being drawn up.

Migros' "Save Food" initiative aims to encourage people to eat Swiss fruits and vegetables that look different to produce usually found on the shelves, but which are sustainable, inexpensive and of the highest quality. The new initiative aims to reduce food waste, support agriculture and raise customer awareness about adopting a more mindful approach to food.

In coordination with the Swiss authorities, Danone is recalling certain production batches of Aptamil in Switzerland due to the updated recommendations on the cereulide limit. Customers who have purchased one or more of the products concerned are requested to stop giving them to their children and to contact Danone for an exchange or refund.
