100 years of Migros
Migros celebrates its 100th birthday. In its anniversary year, Migros is renaming itself MERCI to thank the people of Switzerland for their loyalty. A Switzerland-wide 'Merci tour' with DAS ZELT, birthday parties in all Migros stores and a Migros sales bus, like in the old days, are just some of the highlights.
Migros Pension Fund
The Migros Pension Fund (MPK) can look back on an extremely successful year financially. It has therefore set an exceptionally high interest rate of 7.5% for 2025. After an excellent year's investment, the MPK's coverage ratio increased to almost 135%.
L'Oréal S.A. übernimmt Gowoonsesang Cosmetics Co.
L'Oréal S.A. is acquiring Gowoonsesang Cosmetics Co. Ltd, the South Korean subsidiary of the Mibelle Group. This includes the renowned Dr.G brand, one of the leading dermocosmetic brands in South Korea. Sales negotiations for the rest of the Mibelle Group are still ongoing. There is a great deal of interest from potential buyers.
M-Classic yogurt lemon
The product is being recalled due to a production error which means M-Classic lemon yoghurts may contain the allergen hazelnut. Customers with a hazelnut allergy are requested not to consume the product. It is safe for everyone else to consume the product.
Payroll communication 2025
Zurich - Following negotiation with all the social partners, Migros has signed an agreement with the National Commission and the Butchers' Staff Association for salary increases of 1% to 1.3% for Migros companies subject to the national collective employment agreement. In so doing, Migros has shown its appreciation of its workforce, even in times of change, and is once again offsetting inflation.
Migros Supermarket Strategy
Migros is lowering the prices of more than 1000 everyday products to a budget level, boosting its own brands and putting even more emphasis on freshness and regionality. Over the next few years, 140 new supermarkets will be opened and 350 modernised. The funds for these investments will be freed up by focusing on supermarkets as the core business.
