On 15 November, the Basel cooperative opens its second store on the German side of the Swiss-German border in Bad Säckingen, with retail space measuring 1490 m². On 26 September 2002, another store is opened in Freiburg im Breisgau. For the first time in its 60-year history, the Lucerne cooperative breaks through the CHF 1.2 billion barrier in terms of sales. The Neuchâtel-Fribourg cooperative celebrates its 60th anniversary. A milestone moment for the Ticino cooperative as it exceeds the CHF 0.5 billion threshold in terms of sales.
