Migros celebrates

Migros celebrates its 75th anniversary from 3 January to 31 December. The entire Swiss population is invited to join in the celebrations too. Lots of anniversary activities are organised. A few examples: ➔ every week, customers can find extremely attractive promotional offers in their store under the name "Birthday Shop". Various consumer goods and food products go on sale at CHF 0.75, 7.50, 75 or 750. ➔ Migros Industrie and Migros suppliers open their doors to customers. ➔ An online quiz, the "King's Quiz", with monthly prizes and a big annual prize, attracts young and old to the screen. ➔ Readers of the "Brückenbauer", "Construire" and "Azione" magazines enjoy a real treat: four competitions are held with prizes of vouchers for goods and travel worth around CHF 0.5 million up for grabs. ➔ 75 Migros restaurants prepare a special Mother's Day for mums: a red carpet reception with butler service, childcare, artistic performances and brunch. ➔ Anyone celebrating their 75th birthday in August receives a bouquet of flowers from Migros. ➔ Just in time for Migros' anniversary year – a new, orange-coloured rose variety is baptised Adele Duttweiler. ➔ Migros launches over 1500 new products in its anniversary year. ➔ An anniversary edition of the "Brückenbauer", "Construire" and "Azione" magazines is published on 22 August. ➔ On 25 August, all Migros stores offer a 15% discount. ➔ 75 large families (eight or more children) get to enjoy a free week-long holiday at the Horizonte "Pueblo Eldorado Playa" holiday village in Cambrils. ➔ All employees are given a day off on their birthday.
