Migros enters the wholesale market

On 27 October, the FMC's Board of Directors approves the acquisition of a minority 30% stake in Cash+Carry Angehrn (CCA). This family-run company from eastern Switzerland with eight cash-and-carry stores for restaurants, hotels, care homes, bakeries, kiosks, village and local shops perfectly complements the Migros company Scana AG, which operates in the wholesale delivery sector. Migros' own industrial production is presented with the opportunity to tap into a major new market in cash-and-carry wholesale, whereby CCA's branded goods policy will play a key role in future. CCA continues to operate as an independent family business with over 300 employees.
