Migros Industrie enters into a joint initiative with the Chinese e-commerce platform NetEase Kaola. Under the name "Orange Garten," it sells selected Migros products, such as coffee, snacks and drinks, on Kaola. NetEase Kaola is the market leader in cross-border e-commerce in China. It is aimed at the Chinese middle classes who enjoy foreign products with proof of quality. In December, Migros Industrie also enters into cooperation with Tmall, China's largest consumer platform. Tmall is an online marketplace for brands and retailers and is part of the Alibaba Group.
