Migros connects Switzerland's most powerful photovoltaic system to the public grid in 2013. On the rooftops of the Migros distribution centre in Neuendorf, canton of Aargau, the plant produces enough power for 1,300 households. After upgrading the system, Migros puts it back into operation in January 2016. It can now produce enough electricity for 3,600 households. The panels, which have a maximum output of 7.8 MWp, cover an area equivalent to 185 tennis courts.
