In Barcelona, the World Retail Congress votes Migros the world's most sustainable retailer. As well as celebrating its active efforts to help the environment, the jury singles out the Migros Culture Percentage for particular praise and concludes that Migros has genuinely embraced sustainability as part of its DNA. The award also acknowledges Migros' continuing efforts to be sustainable in its activities in the fields of purchasing, production, transport, sales and disposal of goods. Migros reports annually on the implementation of these requirements in its sustainability report. In the reporting year, Migros is also voted Switzerland's most popular retailer and most innovative retailer by other organisations. Further awards round off Migros' strong commitment to environmental and social issues.
