A high rise for FMC

After years of expectation, the big day finally arrives: the FMC high rise, for which Gottlieb Duttweiler discussed plans with architect Ernst Schwarzenbach way back in 1957, is ready for occupation in September after just over three years of construction. The new FMC building, which even wins accolades from architectural critics, means the workforce, who are distributed across various buildings around Limmatplatz, can finally be united under one roof. MM Limmatplatz, the first prototype of a Migros store concept, also moves into the tower on 24 September. But one thing remains the same – the FMC's address: Limmatstrasse 152.
