Migros is set to hold elections to reappoint the FMC Board of Directors for the term from 1 July 2000 to 31 June 2004. Jules Kyburz decides to step down prematurely from his position as President of the FMC Board of Directors on 1 July 2000. The FMC Board of Directors appoints Claude Hauser, Managing Director of Migros Geneva, as his successor. The Board of Directors also decides to put Gisèle Girgis-Musy permanently in charge of the Marketing department. It also appoints Jörg Zulauf as a new member of the FMC Board of Directors delegation. At its first meeting within the new term of office which began on 1 July under the new presidency of Claude Hauser, the FMC Board of Directors decides on the following allocation of departments for the Board of Directos delegation: Peter Everts (President), Coordination, Culture and Social Affairs department; Gisèle Girgis-Musy, Marketing and Information Systems department; Mario Bonorand, Retail and Service Companies department; Anton Scherrer (Vice President), Industry and Logistics department; Jörg Zulauf, Finance department.
