Gottlieb Duttweiler honoured

1 / 3

Founded in 1928, the "Boston Conference" is an annual event attended by academics from leading universities and practitioners from all levels of business – from small retail organisations to department and chain stores across all sectors. Migros is invited to share its ideas with conference guests for the first time in 1946. In 1953, Gottlieb Duttweiler attends the event again giving an address entitled "Serving people - a creative force" and is inducted into the "Hall of Fame in Distribution." He is recognised for the "creation of a unique form of distribution" and the reductions in food and goods costs achieved.
