Price label on the shelf

Migros is the only retailer in Europe that still recognises the price label directly on the product. This is set to change from 2011. The prices should be clearly labelled on the shelf. At the 164th Assembly of Delegates of the FMC on 28 March, those present voted clearly in favour of a proposal by the administration, by 84 votes to 10 with 7 abstentions. Surveys have shown that although the price label on the product is appreciated, the customer benefits outweigh the shelf price label. The current prices are easier to read and compare, and the product ranges are clearer. Following the decision of the Assembly of Delegates, various technical options for the price address will be examined. In 2010, a pilot project will also be tested in various stores and customer surveys will be carried out.
