Giovanna Maurer appointed CEO of the Elsa Group

New CEO for the Elsa Group: Giovanna Maurer will succeed Matthew Robin, who will leave the company in summer 2026, on 1 September 2026. 

Giovanna Maurer has a strong track record in the food industry. After graduating with a degree in Food Science and Nutrition from ETH Zurich, she performed impressively in various management positions in Switzerland, Austria and the USA, including the management of a production location in the USA. "Giovanna Maurer understands the challenges of food production first hand. She has proven her ability to successfully lead and continuously develop sites and their networks. The Elsa Group will benefit enormously from her expertise and she will provide valuable impetus for Migros Industrie," says Matthias Wunderlin, CEO of Migros Industrie.
