50 years of promoting culture

50 years ago, the Migros community enshrined its commitment to the Migros Culture Percentage in its Articles of Association. The Migros Culture Percentage makes it possible for a broad cross-section of the population to access culture and education and empowers people to keep pace with the cultural, social and economic changes in society through a wide range of projects and activities. Each year, the Migros Culture Percentage has over CHF 100 million at its disposal. This year we are celebrating in style! The anniversary competition "MyCulture.ch", which provides young adults with a platform for exchange, dialogue and artistic expression, takes centre stage in the anniversary year. The Migros Culture Percentage Pass competition raises public awareness of the Migros Culture Percentage. Finally, the Migros Culture Percentage Jubilee Awards recognise individuals and institutions in ten categories whose work displays great creativity, innovation and imagination. The big anniversary celebrations on 25 August in Fribourg are the highlight of the year.
