Matthew Robin to leave the Elsa Group in the course of 2026

Matthew Robin, CEO of the Elsa Group, will leave the company in 2026 to pursue new professional challenges outside of the Migros Group. In the meantime, he will continue to manage business operations and carefully oversee the transition process. The search for his successor is already under way. This step and the handover of the CEO position have been carefully planned and were jointly agreed in spring 2025. This decision was not previously communicated to avoid detracting from the focus on major milestones.
Over his 14-year tenure, Matthew Robin has left a lasting mark on the Elsa Group. Under his leadership, major acquisitions, such as Dörig-Bergsenn and Simmental Switzerland, have been successfully completed. He also merged the various companies to establish the current Elsa Group, which plays a vital role within the Migros Group as an entity with expertise in the production of dairy products.
"Matthew Robin is a visionary leader," says Matthias Wunderlin, Head of Migros Industrie. "He was responsible for traditional business areas as well as new, future-minded ones, such as plant-based products. His pioneering projects created lasting impetus for the entire Migros Group. I would like to thank Matthew most sincerely for his many years of total commitment."
On his imminent departure, Robin said: "I'm really proud to have taken the Elsa Group forward together with my team over the past 14 years. The Elsa Group makes a major contribution to the Migros Group's successful performance - I found this role extremely rewarding. I'm now looking forward to focusing on new activities outside of the Migros Group."
Migros Industrie would like to thank Matthew Robin for his many years of successful performance and wishes him well for the future.
