Migros Neuchâtel-Fribourg
The new Migros M in Serrières is ready to welcome its customers to Rue de Tivoli 24, in a district that is undergoing a major revitalisation. Special offers are available this Friday and Saturday.
As Migros celebrates its 100th anniversary, Migros Neuchâtel-Fribourg is proud to open its 50th shop today. The long-awaited store in the new Tivoli district of Serrières will offer a range of local, everyday products for immediate consumption in an 800m2 space. An underground car park with around thirty spaces is available to customers, with 45 minutes free parking. And a post office service will be available from the end of September.
Migros Neuchâtel-Fribourg is continuing its ambitious programme of renovating existing branches (4 to 5 per year) and opening new shops. A 51st will open in Matran in September. Thanks to its status as a regional cooperative, Migros Neuchâtel-Fribourg is able to invest an average of CHF 40 million a year in its infrastructure, enabling it to offer shops that are perfectly adapted to customers' needs and expectations, while at the same time being more energy-efficient. The majority of these investments are made with regional companies. These openings are also an opportunity to create new jobs in the region. In Serrières, 13 people have been hired to work in the shop under the direction of manager Sara Brito.
To celebrate this opening, on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 August, customers will be able to take advantage of an automatic 10% discount at the checkout, take part in a competition with CHF 5,000 in prizes to be won, discover a historical tunnel retracing the history of the cooperative's first stores as well as a Sugus bar in tribute to the factory established in the neighbourhood at the time. They will also be able to visit a historical tunnel that traces the history of the cooperative's first shops, as well as a Sugus bar in tribute to the factory that was established in the neighbourhood at the time.
