Ms Decandia, you’ve already had the chance to try your own cereal bar. Does it taste good?

I’m delighted with the result. My favourite ingredients – almonds, pistachios and dates – all go really well together. I expected my Farmer bar to be much sweeter and am pleasantly surprised that it isn’t.

Why did you enter the Farmer competition?

I came across it by chance in the Migros app. I’ve enjoyed Farmer bars for a long time, so I filled in the questionnaire, ticked my favourite ingredients, sent it all off and then didn’t really give it a second thought. I was surprised when I found out my bar had won.

You visited the Farmer production facility in Meilen. What impressed you most?

How every step is so carefully organised and every bar is measured to the gram. A huge amount of raw material used in Farmer bars is transported along the conveyor belt through the production machines for processing. It’s very impressive.

What makes a good Farmer bar?

In my opinion, a bar shouldn’t be too sweet – it’s not a dessert, but rather a nutritious snack that’s perfect for between meals. I love nuts – they’re the ideal ingredient for me, but I don’t really like chocolate in Farmer bars.

Which is your favourite Farmer bar?

Well, it’s my own now! (she says smiling). I usually go for varieties with nuts – I like the ones with nuts and figs in them.
