Higher sales, a sustained online boom and strong growth in the health sector – the Migros Group made good progress in the transformation year 2024.

What we do

CHF 419 million

Group profit for the past year came in at CHF – more than double the previous year's figure (CHF 175 million). This result was burdened by special effects totalling CHF 440 million, the majority of which is attributable to the now completed divestments of the Migros specialist stores.


CHF 32.5 billion

was the Group sales figure, exceeding the previous year’s record by 1.8 per cent.


CHF 4.5 billion

was the amount posted for online sales – 10.1 per cent up on the previous year. Migros' Digitec Galaxus is Switzerland's largest online marketplace.


CHF 1.5 billion

of sales were generated by Migros’ healthcare services – an increase of around 20 per cent.


CHF 282 million

was the profit made by Migros Bank – the second-best result in its history. In addition, the customer base grew to around 1.2 million, driven in part by the success of the Cumulus credit card business.


CHF 17.6 billion

was the equity in Migros’ retail and industry businesses as at the end of 2024 – representing 78.7 per cent of total assets (previous year: 72.8 per cent), putting Migros on a sound financial footing.


CHF 138 million

was the amount Migros Commitment spent on funding projects in the areas of culture, society, education, leisure and business in 2024.


CHF 1.5 billion

was invested by the Migros Group last year, a significant proportion of which was channelled into economic activity in Switzerland.


3,559

apprentices in over 55 different professions were employed by the Migros Group in the reporting year – and 98,776 employees on average over the year. There are currently around 1,000 vacancies.


26 per cent

of total sales from bricks-and-mortar retail outlets and Migros Online were generated by products with sustainable labels and brands.
