What can’t be recycled
Cardboard can obviously be recycled, but unfortunately not all types. We explain what can and can’t be recycled.

Recycling Guide
What should you do with old cooking or engine oil? Under no circumstances should it go down the drain!
Frying, cooking and engine oils.
Petrol, fuel, paints.
Good for multiple uses: cooking oil that you have used for frying or deep-frying can be used several times.
You can dispose of waste oil directly in your local municipality.
Depending on the quality of the oil, there are two recycling routes. Poorer quality oil, such as waste oil and cooking oil, is used as secondary fuel in the cement industry. Oil of sufficiently good quality ends up in refineries in Germany. Around 65% of new oil products are obtained here, such as raw materials for lubricating oil manufacturers. The rest is used as industrial oil, water or for own consumption.
Oil must be collected separately, as disposal via the sewage system causes problems with wastewater treatment. To protect the sewage system, please wipe oily or greasy cookware with household paper before washing it.
Recycling protects the climate and conserves the Earth’s natural resources. That’s why we want to do our bit together with you.
